Katie is an Ankeny native, graduating from Ankeny High School in 2013. She attended Central College where she earned her B.A. in both Communication and Political Science. After a gap year working through the AmeriCorps VISTA program, Katie entered law school at Drake University. She earned her Juris Doctorate in 2021, as well as her bar license with the State of Iowa. When she’s not in the office, Katie can be found at the gym, the coffee shop, or with her family.

Criminal law is Katie’s career passion. Her experience with the criminal justice system is well-rounded, having both prosecuted and defended since her time in law school.
